Online job board TipTopJob.com reduce single job posting to £99

Posted on 24 March 2010 by admin

TipTopJob have reduced the price for a single job posting across their network of sites in the UK, USA, Canada, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand from £199 to £99 per job. The drop in price is applicable to all postings for a 30 day period. This comes at a time when, although it has been reported that the recession is officially over, the reality is that the marketplace remains tough. By halving the cost of a single job posting TipTopJob are helping companies who may still be suffering. There are signs of slow progress however; trends from the first quarter of 2010 clearly show that jobs advertised have been rising by about 5% each month. A positive sign that companies are starting to pick up their recruitment processes this year. Mike Dauncey, comments, “The first quarter of 2010 has not been as fast and as easy as we have all expected, but we have noticed an increase in the number of jobs advertised across industry sectors in both the UK and Worldwide. We are piloting the reduction of a single job posting and we hope this attracts people to our site for one off recruitment needs.”

TipTopJob step up their global recruitment model

Posted on 16 February 2010 by admin

TipTopJob.com has appointed a new International Business Development Manager to drive and oversee the expansion of the TipTopJob Group network of sites across the globe. The site already boasts over 100,000 jobseekers in the USA and 200,000 IT professionals across Europe alone.

Anil Aphale has come from a very successful ATS background having previously worked at Totaljobs and brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in the online recruitment industry.

The TipTopJob international model is not only designed for companies who want standard localised recruitment but those who want to advertise a position in one country to attract jobseekers in another. The use of multiple job boards within one centralised account means less hassle, less time and less money. No other job board is able to offer a similar centralised approach to global recruitment.

To expand the international presence, TipTopJob is currently looking for Sales Partners, whether companies or individuals, in various countries around the world to sell their product where there is a substantial commission structure in place.

Mike Dauncey, CEO of the TipTopJob Group comments, “I believe we are in a very competitive position with a strong global offering for clients. Our International traffic is picking up very quickly. We see ourselves as being a global one-stop-shop for recruiters.”

Keith Robinson, CEO of Jobsiteadvisor and has over 30 years in the recruitment industry, comments, “TipTopJob has been clever with the design, development and structure of their technology and are certainly offering something unique in the marketplace. Although it can be seen as similar to other models, TipTopJob do not have to utilise job boards in other countries to advertise their roles as they have the facility to offer this themselves.”

Employees expected to ‘fake it’ on National Sickie Day

Posted on 26 January 2010 by admin

Aptly dubbed National Sickie Day, the first Monday in February is when those winter woes take hold and employees
decide they just can’t face another day at the office. This year bosses are bracing themselves once again for a
horde of employees calling in sick but are the excuses always genuine or are Brits prone to pulling a sham ‘sickie’?

A survey of over 2500 people by online job board TipTopJob.com revealed that in 2009 almost a quarter of UK
employees pulled a fake sickie day, unable to face another dreary day at the office and surprisingly 24% of these
slackers were repeat offenders!

This surge in absenteeism is said to be down to a depressing case of the winter blues, but how many of us lie about
illness to get a sneaky day off? “With post-Christmas blues, prolonged poor weather and summer seeming a million
miles away, people are taking to their beds and it’s not the dreaded flu that’s the cause – an outbreak of the
Monday blues is storming the nation,” explains Corinne Hutchinson, Marketing Manager of TipTopJob.com.

Results also revealed that some of the laziest employees come from the North West with over three quarters of them
having falsely called in sick to work last year; this is compared to just 16% of those in the North East. Despite
recession worries, a shocking 58% of people don’t feel guilty about throwing a fake ‘sickie’ day and were ready to
admit to doing so. In Scotland, over half of the guilty culprits have done it on more than one occasion.

Over 1 million job seekers have registered on TipTopJob.com and there are over 80,000 positions advertised from
over 35 specific industries from fashion to engineering, science to legal.

Over Half of UK Workforces Suffer From The January Office Blues

Posted on 07 January 2010 by admin

The festivities are all over, your waistline has expanded and it’s back to work in the coldest and darkest month of the year. Yes that first week back to work in January is officially the most depressing month of the year as a new survey highlights that over 50% of workforces suffer from the January office blues.

The survey of over 1000 people by online job board TipTopJob.com also revealed that a massive 80% of employees will also consider looking for a new job in January as a symptom of the unavoidable January blues.

“January is one of our busiest times of year when we get a sudden influx of both job hunters and employers recruiting for new positions following the Christmas recruitment wind down,” explains Corinne Hutchinson, Marketing Manager of TipTopJob.com. “Thousands of people feel unrest in their jobs in January and use the New Year as a motivating factor to make a positive change and start afresh.”

Over half of the survey respondents did report feeling more positive about the recession recovery in 2010 and the job market as a whole, despite unemployment still at its highest and unlikely to see substantial improvement until 2011.

Over 1 million job seekers have registered on TipTopJob.com and there are over 80,000 positions advertised from over 35 specific industries from fashion to engineering, science to legal.

The benefits of using TheITJob.com means clients receive very targeted and relevant applications from job seekers in the sector as well as a great deal of exposure for advertised positions via the main TipTopJob site. The site has grown over 105% since the beginning of 2009 and now attracts more jobseekers at all levels looking for IT roles.

New recruitment payment model gaining new ground

Posted on 29 September 2009 by admin

TipTopJob today announce the launch of their revolutionary new ‘Pay Per Application’ offering which is one of the first systems to allow recruiters to post unlimited job adverts, but pay only for the applications they receive.

As one of the UK’s largest online job boards, TipTopJob predicts that the new model is the future for the industry and will transform the way in which companies advertise for positions.

The ‘Pay Per Application’ model, which is being offered as an alternative to purchasing traditional Job Credits, is designed to appeal to those advertisers in markets where previously the response level may have been variable.

The model can provide advertisers with a definitive rate of return on their investment by ensuring payment on an application only basis. TipTopJob clients will be able to purchase any number of ‘Job Application Credits’ up-front based on their specific requirements.

Mike Dauncey, CEO, comments: “We have been looking to introduce the model for some time so we are pleased to now be able to work with those clients who may not have considered using us in the past.

“Our clients are able to use location filters to ensure that they do not receive applications from jobseekers in countries they are not recruiting from. Another unique factor of the service is that once the client’s applications are used, the remaining applications are stored in the client’s account until such time when the client purchases further credits.”
