www.recnews.co.uk was established in September 2009 as the ‘home of uk recruitment news’

On Startup – Online recruitment news was nothing new to the recruitment industry. However, with 2 or 3 major players dominating this sector, complacency set in. The competition was dull and drab, and it was time for a change.

Recruitment News, took simple steps to give readers a more gratifying experience, and recruitment firms further brand awareness. We did this by simply attaching company logos or images to relate to the articles. Not only does this give more depth to the articles as the readers have illustrations to look at, but it creates brand awareness as readers recall and recognise the brand.

Over the last 6 months www.recnews.co.uk has established many connections with recruitment firms and PR companys allowing us to get the most up to date recruitment news and press releases. In line with this, feedback has been fantastic, here are just some examples:

“Story and picture looks great thank you!” – Laura (CV-Library)

“Excellent – thanks for that; looks great. I’ll have a very happy customer now. I’ll make sure that I send any further information from this client to you on a regular basis.” - Malcolm (Go4Marketing)

“Thank you for displaying so quickly, the article looks good.” – Julie (Top Jobs 4 Leisure)

“I’ve had a look at the site and for your feedback, I think it’s very good and I will include you in our future press release circulation lists.” - Matthew (Kinetic Plc)

“Thanks for covering the story. Really like your site for both content and design.” – Karl (WhatJobSite)

“This is fantastic, thank you very much. Looks great.” – Simon (Only Marketing Jobs)

“Congratulations on a great website” – Meeta (Maine Tucker)

“Just had a look at the site it is coming along great.” – Kevin (OilandGasPeople)

Every month we also issue a ‘Media Pack’ to our regular contributors, this gives them the opportunity to give further exposure to their companies by advertising throughout our site – either via our headerbar, or on our side panel. This gives a steady flow of income into the business.

We have recently established a Newsletter which will give our regular readers a breakdown of the latest news on our site. This is one of many ways to exploit the resources gained by www.recnews.co.uk – one which we believe would be a success is to publish a magazine along side the website. Unfortunately we do not have the resources at the time to do this.
